Sunday School meets 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. weekly.

Introducing our NEW Curriculum!!!! – “The Gospel Project”

We are happy to announce that children who participate on Sunday morning in Sunday School (up through 4th grade) are growing in their knowledge and understanding of the Bible as a whole.  With a Scope and Sequence that walks us through the Old and New Testaments, the goal of this curriculum is to understand how everything connects to CHRIST!  Children learn through the use of videos, games, crafts, activities, reading Scripture, mission projects, and more.  And it just gets better for those in 2nd grade and younger as they dive deeper with fresh worship activities on the SAME weekly topics in Kids Church during the worship hour.

2-Year Old with Mrs. Heidi & Miss Nicole:

We can’t wait to meet your “little explorer”!  What fun we have teaching the most well-known stories to these curious tots in playful ways, always including fun songs and a little snack for good measure!

PreK (ages 3-5) with Mrs. Ruth & Mrs. Sue:

With plenty of repetition for the PreK age, our kids stay connected and engaged during their Sunday morning Bible lessons, and therefore, remember their “message” for months and years to come.  Kids have so much learning and actively participating that they keep coming back for more!

Kindergarten with Mrs. Nancy & Mr. Russell:

Kindergarten is a year for very big changes in a child’s life!  So in order to give these “big kids” time to grow and mature, we give them a class to call all their own before mixing them with older students.  Our Kindergarten Sunday School takes kids deeper into the Bible without losing the hands-on fun of preschool.

1st – 2nd Grade with Mrs. Lanie & Mrs. Cheri:

There are few things more fun than teaching 1st-2nd graders excited to learn about God’s love!  These bright young Bible scholars not only get a strong handle on the basic well-known Bible stories, but we also challenge them to memorize the Lord’s Prayer and the Apostle’s Creed.

3rd – 4th Grade with Mrs. Vickie, Mrs. Diana, & Mr. Blaine:

By 3rd grade, kids really start to read well.  For this reason, it is our tradition to present each student with their very own hard cover “Hands-On-Bible”.  The 3rd-4th grade Sunday School class strives to teach kids how to use and study their Bible.  In addition to directly reading God’s Word, we also challenge this group to learn the order of the books of the Bible so that they might be able to look-up Scriptures for themselves.

G.L.O.W. 56 with Mrs. Tammy & Mr. Justin:

Ah!  TWEENS!  No longer kids.  Not yet teens.  But oh, so very special!  We love our 5th- 6th graders and believe they truly hold the power to Go Light Our World, hence their name “G.L.O.W. 56″.  These young men and women dive into Scripture to apply it to every day situations that they face at home, at school, with friends, and in our culture and world today.  Not only do they join in mission projects and service such as serving meals to the homeless at the Church Under the Bridge (twice a year), but they also enjoy thriving in the social realm in events like “Friday Night Fun” (at least quarterly).  Yes, it’s good to be a tween!

We are a Safe Sanctuary Church!

One important element of our Sunday School is that it is a safe, warm and welcoming environment for ALL ages.  We are a “Safe Sanctuary Church” which means that we carefully select our teachers and volunteers as well as screen and train them as a part of our Safe Sanctuary requirements.
